Google Nexus Q Audio Visualization Prototype

Client: Google, through LeftFieldLabs
Provided: visual effects design, data visualization, programming, prototyping
Date: 2012

LeftFieldLabs brought me on to do a design and programming audio-visualization exploration for a microsite surrounding the new Nexus Q device. I worked closely with Eric Lee and CJ Cenizal on this effort. Later I was brought back in to design generative background images for Google Android devices, using some of the visual language established earlier.

FFT analysis of accompanying music track used to modulate the size of ellipses surrounding the device; one of several music data visualization approaches that I created. This prototype was designed and programmed in OpenFrameworks (C++).
